I've had nothing but bad luck with Webhosts. I'm a professional web designer, and in the past 7 years the first two web hosts I was with fled and closed shop, leaving everybody in limbo. The third was great, until things started going downhill last year in 2007, both in reliability and support. I think they grew too fast and couldn't handle it.

So, weary again, I spent a couple days looking for a new host, and found that a lot of people were recommending Cartika over at webhostingtalk.com.

I had recently acquired a large Halloween site, and I didn't dare trust my current webhost. So I signed up with Cartika and crossed my fingers when the Halloween season began. Visitors and bandwidth quickly grew about a hundredfold, aaaand ...

The Cartika servers didn't even blink. Everything ran smoothly and fast through the entire season. I went over bandwidth, but support quickly responded and I had no problem temporarily upgrading to a larger plan to handle everything.

I'm very impressed, and I hope to stay with Cartika for many years.
