Is there any problem in enabling the demo user account in DirectAdmin? From what I can gather at the DA forums, the account isn't a real account, and doesn't actually DO anything on or to the server, it just lets users get a feel for the UI. Opinions?

I know for a fact it doesn't read the real server specs... it thinks I'm on a Sperry 8088 .

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,

Personally - I don't enable it, just simply because it's not completely isolated from the 'real' system -- it does allow some level of exposure to occur in the event a DA based attack were ever to be found (one foot in the door, so to speak).

Hope this helps answer your question.

Ahh, I see. Well, I guess I can always link to the official DA demo, or put up a visual tour/walkthrough on the support site (ie, just static pages with images, nothing real, no logging in)...

Thanks for the input. :)
