Hi

Finally I have decided to get rid of osCommerce. can't wait for a new version for ages together.

Now i want to move forward in choosing the alternative.

MAGENTO
X-Cart
Zen Cart

The above are few of the scripts I know.

Could some one suggest a good one thats fast, secure, userfriendly , NOT TOO heavy...

thanks

Indian - we build e-commerce full time with www.productcart.com. With the exception of Magento, we have built multiple stores that replaced OSCommerce, X-Cart and Zen Cart. The clients in each of those cases had made a similar decision to yours - that they had messed around with each of the above and had come to the point that now they wanted a serious cart. ProductCart flat out works, the support is beyond awsome, and we can make it stand on its head if you need any custom features.

Hey!

I recommend the following order:

- OpenCart | PHP Open Source | Lean and mean shopping cart for basic products and attributes. (Do not use if you have thousands/tiers of products)
- Magento | PHP Open Source | Robust and Resource-intensive shopping cart built for massive customization and multi-store support. (Best for large amounts of products and inventory) (Warning: steep learning curve, but worth it)

Magento is overkill if you want just a basic store in my opinion.
