I simply cannot express to you the shear amount of white noise associated with this topic. There is just so much confusion out there as to what technology is what, and who is offering what technology. Heck, even amongst our own offerings, there is a severe amount of confusion around the differences between our VPS offering (cartikavps.com) and our cloud offering (cartikacloud.com).

After spending some time scouring the internet, examining how these offerings were presented, and simply trying to find a proper way to outline these offerings and market them - I ran across this page

Well, after looking at this more carefully, and after taking some time to consider what things.... I figured a transparent approach here would be best. I simply cannot believe some of the wording on these sites. How can any average person, or even a seasoned, savvy IT professional, understand what they are buying. So, after some careful consideration, I decided a comparison page was in order. Looking at it rationally, it will help resolve several questions for us which we need to field daily. 1) what is the difference between your VPS and Cloud and 2) what is the difference between your cloud and the cloud offered by (insert the name of your favorite cloud provider "not" named Amazon (as Amazon, love them or hate them - at the very least, they produce and deliver what I like to call a "legitimate" cloud - and to my knowledge, they are the only provider outside of Cartika that is doing so right now)
