Is there any way to setup an email "blacklist" that will bounce back to the sender?

My father's domain is in my account and he is receiving "invite" emails from Facebook. I guess all of his old friends are starting to get on Facebook. There is an option in each email to "opt out" from receiving emails from Facebook, but I guess those are just there to comply with the CAN SPAM Act (they don't work - he keeps getting new invites and reminders several times a week). He is not a member of FB and does not want to be a member. Now he is asking me to find out how to sue FB??? He is pretty bent over this whole thing.

I had this problem a long time ago when I was with another host that used cPanel. I solved my problem by setting up a filter set to bounce. Checking my logs, all emails from FB stopped after the first bounce back to their server.

I am probably overlooking something in HSphere, but I cannot seem to find a way to setup a filter that matches 'From:' <blacklist> to bounce. Can this be done? Simply dropping the emails won't tell FB's server to stop sending reminders, etc.

Hello,

In hsphere --> mail manager --> Anti-spam settings you can set email addresses or partial addresses to blacklist. If you use mailfoundry, then you would set the settings in mailfoundry under domain filters. In either case, you would supply it with the address of the from or just the domain part.

Thanks - it bounces :)

I looked at that earlier, but for some reason I was under the impression it would just drop the email (not bounce).

Hopefully this will solve his problems (and ultimately keep him from having a heart attack).

Thanks again, Steven.
