CartikaHosting is pleased to announce the release of FreeBSD hosting. After launching a FreeBSD server and adding it to our cluster last year, the demand for this platform has been overwhelming.

Initially, the FreeBSD experiment was meant to investigate the option of replacing Linux web servers with FreeBSD web servers. FreeBSD has proven to be a very successful and popular platform. It has clearly demonstrated greater stability and security then we anticipated, however, many users were relucatant to part with their Linux platforms.

As such, we have added additional web servers to our cluster dedicated for FreeBSD services. Customers can now choose whether to host their websites on Linux, Windows or FreeBSD servers. Everyone has their preference and we can now accomodate a much wider variety of platforms with this announcement.
